Imovie for Mac 10.13 6 Download
Practice you lot accept a newer computer or a friend with newer figurer and TimeMachine backup? I just went back several months to see which iMovie version would install on Mojave, which in my case was 10.1.14. The process should be similar with High Sierra.
Is information technology possible to download/larn iMovie 10.ane.six?
Two weeks ago, Apple released iMovie 10.1.seven, which suddenly requires macOS 10.12.ii (previously it only required 10.11.2). Unfortunately, my Mac, while perfectly capable of doing everything else I ...

Unfortunately I don't.
Thank you. I've seen these posts but they don't really solve my problem here...
How and then? Tells u to download 9, exercise the thing with right click package contents that'll and so give you x on download, is that what you're having issue with?
Information technology' similar to how got imovie vi on Mojave.
Yeah: I see no choice to install 10 from the package contents. Or improve yet, I can't install the latest 10 from the App Shop because information technology says my Bone version is incompatible. Nor does my electric current version appear nether Purchased in the App Store.
Have you followed this step by step.

Cool, so I'd prob say elevate a copy of 9 to a drive / usb stick every bit dorsum-up, then follow this - https://discussions.apple tree.com/thread/251731354
I'thousand having the verbal aforementioned problem as OP.
This solution doesn't work every bit that involves reinstalling from the app-shop, which won't allow as it says a newer version on MacOS is required, which isn't possible as I'chiliad at the most recent for my car.
Another great instance of apple'southward commitment to planned obselecence. My macbook is working perfectly just if I want to get the appropriate version of imovie with it I accept to either reinstall or buy a new ane, information technology seems.
I'grand having the exact same trouble every bit OP.

I don't have a copy of high sierra to cheque on, there's chatter here https://apple tree.stackexchange.com/questions/301762/is-it-possible-to-download-larn-imovie-x-1-6 , but seems to repeat the links I've quoted. On one answer (May 4th) it says to close app shop & re-open, sorry tin't help farther.
I accept a late-2011 MBP running High Sierra and I'd like to install the latest version of iMovie that'southward uniform with it.
I managed to install iMovie 9.0.ix from Apple'due south website (that's the latest version they offer) simply there's no option to update it? When I click "Check for Updates" from inside the app it says that it's already the latest version. I also tried via App Store just I got the post-obit message: "This app cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different Apple tree ID". Today I tried App Shop once again, yet there is no more "Update" option - only "Get". When I try to download it, it will at present say that my OS version is not compatible with the latest version of iMovie.
There's plainly an option to download iMovie x from certain 3rd party websites just I don't feel comfortable downloading and installing software from unverified sources.
Whatsoever ideas?
Also, which video formats are fifty-fifty supported by iMovie 9.0.9? I tin can't fifty-fifty import .mov or .mp4 files, which is rather disappointing.
I take a belatedly-2011 MBP running High Sierra and I'd like to install the latest version of iMovie that's compatible with it.
I managed to install iMovie nine.0.nine from Apple's website (that's the latest version they offering) merely there's no selection to update it? When I click "Cheque for Updates" from within the app information technology says that it's already the latest version. I as well tried via App Store simply I got the following message: "This app cannot be updated because it was refunded or purchased with a different Apple tree ID". Today I tried App Store once more, all the same in that location is no more "Update" option - just "Go". When I try to download it, information technology will now say that my OS version is non compatible with the latest version of iMovie.
There's obviously an choice to download iMovie 10 from certain tertiary party websites but I don't feel comfortable downloading and installing software from unverified sources.
Any ideas?
